Area of Focus: Behavioral Threat Management & Protective Operations

​

Coming from 17 years of public safety experience with expertise in emergency management, threat investigations, law enforcement, sex offender management programs, and protective security operations, Caleb Lovelace is eager to work with this amazing team and build a powerful multidisciplinary movement of innovation, resiliency, and prevention! He is a Certified Master Trainer in Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management from the Department of Homeland Security and has held numerous instructor certifications in law enforcement and emergency medical services. As a passionate technologist, he performs technical consultation and design for remote energy and communication systems in vehicles for digital nomads and is an advocate for the nomadic movement and allyship.

He is the Alaska Satellite Chair for the Northwest Chapter of the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals and is currently a global threat manager for a Fortune 400 technology company. He also volunteers as State Administrator for Alaska for Team Rubicon and is currently pursuing graduate degrees in artificial intelligence and forensic psychology.

Area of Focus: Behavioral Psychology & Organizational Dynamics in Crisis & Conflict​

​

​Ryan is a researcher and practitioner who focuses on empowering people to ask for help to proactively resolve crisis situations, ranging from mental wellbeing and sexual misconduct to violence in our workplaces and schools. He additionally works at building tools to help communities and organizations with Safe Haven. He has developed data models for political risk, built military innovation programs, and studied rebel groups in the Philippines alongside members of the U.S. Army Special Forces. Ryan has previously worked in defense and national security communities as a researcher and innovator.

 

He is a published researcher in applying artificial intelligence to sectors like helplines and behavioral threat assessment and management. Ryan grew up in Western Washington. A graduate of Stanford University, Ryan remains affiliated with the Stanford University Peace Innovation Lab. He is a member of the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals.

Area of Focus: Public Policy & Community Data Systems

Ryan is a graduate student in public policy at the University of Alaska Anchorage, with a focus on sustainable economies and livelihoods in Arctic communities. He serves as board co-chair for Alaska Version 3, a nonprofit advancing innovation and entrepreneurship across Alaska and currently works as a Graduate Research Assistant at the UAA Institute for Social & Economic Research. He has a diverse background in community development, including managing Alaska Seeds of Change, a youth empowerment program centered around vertical hydroponics and workforce development.

 

As the board chair for the Alaska World Affairs Council and the non-federal co-lead for the Interagency Arctic Research Policy Committee’s Priority Area 3, Ryan collaborates to address the unique challenges facing the Arctic. His work reflects a commitment to fostering resilient systems that empower local communities and support economic transformation. In addition to his academic and community development work, Ryan is an accomplished oil painter and artist!

Forensic Investigations & Remote Operations

​

Will has been working in the field of public safety and international studies for many years. Will is currently a child welfare forensic investigator serving some of the most remote and rural communities in Alaska. A former substitute school teacher, commercial fleet operations manager, member of Americorps, and Bering Sea commercial fisherman, Will has had extensive experiences in a variety of remote communities and austere environments and works to bring that experience into conversations around innovation to close gaps in workforce and practices. As an advocate for tribal systems and indigenous communities, he has a passion for integrating human services investigations with emerging technologies and remote communication systems to empower better practices and services. 

 

Will has undergraduate degrees in Russian Studies where he studied under State Department scholarships and spent time studying abroad in Russia and Ukraine. He is pursuing a graduate degree in Applied Intelligence Studies from Mercyhurst University and is a member of the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals.

Area of Focus: Community Engagement & Youth Advocacy

Taylor Jordan is the owner and proprietor of Black Birch Books, an independent bookstore in the Matanuska - Susitna Valley and Alaska's only bookbinder. She is a retired fifteen-year combat veteran of the United States Air Force Security Forces where she was served in a variety of roles and protected US Presidents. Through her bookstore, Jordan has delivered community resiliency and violence prevention programs for years and hires at-risk or homeless youth as part of a youth workforce development program. She has built a reputation throughout Southcentral Alaska as a powerful advocate for building prevention and harm reduction through social connections.

 

She was awarded the Courage & Community Award by the St. Mary's Episcopal Church in 2024, was awarded Small Business of the Year by the Wasilla Chamber of Commerce for 2023 and has been featured in multiple media stories on her programs and work in youth safety, advocacy, and community engagement. She loves both Oxford Commas and her Harley Roadking.

Area of Focus: Unmanned Autonomous Systems & Information Security

A consultant with a background in finance, information security, autonomous systems, and energy, Harrison has spent years advising and consulting in a variety of industries He now runs a firm providing unmanned autonomous systems (UAS) services to the energy industry. He has a broad set of experiences in the international community and has worked across Southeast Asia in a variety of consultation roles. He is an esteemed information security researcher known for his significant contributions to FreeBSD, TrustedBSD, Linux, OSGeo, and PostGIS. Harrison has conducted security audits for several national ID programs and was instrumental in developing one of the first contact tracing applications alongside researchers in Mauritius.

Beyond his security-focused endeavors, Grundy is an active OSGeo contributor, having worked on projects such as QGIS, PostGIS, and GeoServer. He is also affiliated with Cyberstorm.mu, where he supports upstream patch acceptance and technology deployment across Africa. He has contributed towards and worked with military special operations forces using UAVs in Ukraine during the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. He has designed numerous geomatics tools for energy exploration and is exploring the use of Large Language Models as a hobbyist technologist.

Area of Focus: Behavioral Threat Management & School Psychology

A clinically licensed psychologist and nationally certified school psychologist, Dr. Doss works for the Anchorage School District as the Critical Response and Wellness Coordinator. A sought-after speaker and presenter on a variety of school psychology topics, she has a BS in psychology from the University of Phoenix, and a MA and PhD in School Psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University. Dr. Doss focuses on supporting the school environment in prevention and response threats, suicides/self-harm, and crises that impact the school community. She specializes in resilience and taking a holistic approach to supporting those in need.

 

Her interests and passions include strengths-based assessments & approaches, crisis response, training, and wellness. She is the President of the Alaska School Psychologist Association and a member of the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals.

Area of Focus: Technology & Harm Reduction in Music & Higher Education

​

Dr. Sasha Ishov is a professional flutist, educator, and researcher whose work bridges contemporary music, technology, and community resilience. He has appeared as a soloist, orchestral, and chamber musician at venues including the BBC Proms, Carnegie Hall, the Ojai Music Festival, the National Flute Association, and Big Ears Festival. He has premiered over 100 works by living composers and collaborates with leading artists across classical, experimental, and interdisciplinary settings.

​

A first-generation American, Sasha brings a cross-disciplinary perspective shaped by his lived experience, artistic practice, and technical research into sound perception and collaboration. Holding a Doctorate in Contemporary Music Performance, he investigates how technological and social systems shape communication, agency, and trust in creative and educational environments. His work has been presented at Harvard University, the Qualcomm Institute, and most recently at Northwestern University, where he shared insights into instrument-mediated listening and performer-composer interaction.

Sasha applies these insights across performance, teaching, and facilitation — designing inclusive, collaborative environments in K–12, higher education, and community contexts. His work centers access, creative expression, and the role of artistic practice in fostering communication, resilience, and harm reduction.

Advisor on Counterterrorism Research

Area of Focus: Counterterrorism, Violence Prevention & Technology

Galen is a senior international security advisor and strategic communications consultant at the nexus of extremism, violence prevention, and tech issues. With over 15 years of experience, he specializes in applied research, training, and programmatic leadership to foster resilience against societal divides and mitigate online exploitation by terrorist, violent extremist, and malign influence actors. Galen has led work in over 30 countries for UN agencies, governments, think tanks, humanitarian NGOs, and tech platforms.

He co-founded and convened the Extremism and Gaming Research Network (EGRN), a global non-profit that brings together 170 members from across sectors to protect gaming communities against online harms. He is also an Associate Fellow at the Royal United Services Institute and a long-term advisor to Hedayah.

Area of Focus: International & Intelligence Affairs
 

Jack is an expert in national security issues, EU and NATO operations, transatlantic US-EU work, and Visegrad 4 (V4) regional issues. A former Vice President of Intelligence and Analytics of the Bank of America, where he did complex intelligence and investigations work, Jack is now a senior member of the United States Intelligence Community specializing in counterterrorism policy. As a Fulbright Schuman Scholar, Jack designed and implemented a study into international nuclear weapon controls and regulations regarding illicit trafficking and Dark Web markets across the European Union and United States. To complete this work, he operated out of Brussels, Belgium and worked with the Antall József Knowledge Centre and German Marshall Fund of the United States.

He holds a Master of Science in Applied Intelligence from Mercyhurst University and has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Stetson University. Jack has written numerous articles on global security and is passionate about transatlantic and global issues.
